Coming to Terms

This morning I went to work as usual… when I entered the South Luzon Express Way (SLEX), I was surprised that traffic was slowly moving already a little after the Sta. Rosa Exit.

Thinking that there was only a problem (like a collision? an accident? a stalled vehicle?) I cruised along hoping that the queue would be over soon.

But lo and behold, it did not change — I mowed along as if there was no end to this traffic mess. It is as if that all cars, and trucks and buses have decided to go out into the express way all at the same time.

You could really see what type of person the driver is by the way he drives — there are drivers who just cruise along a wait their turn; others try to criss-cross their way to a faster moving lane; others would just try and cut you of in order to get ahead…

I guess I am little bit of all — I get easily irritated if the lane I am in is not moving fast enough so I will transfer to a faster moving lane as soon as I get the chance to. But what I never do is get out of lane and do the counter-flow so as to get ahead of others — I don’t know but I am really pissed of at drivers who do this so when they try to insert their cars in front of me, I really try my best to prevent them from doing so even if it means I see them get hit by on-coming traffic…. pasensya sila, kahit mamatay sila sa kakabusina hindi ko sila papasingitin —
